Pattern: Autumn's Favorite Shawl


It's been a busy season- lots of new patterns, lots more new things coming on the needles, and then of course, there's my crazy bunch of kiddos that keep me hopping.....so, I guess it's just one of those things that I somehow forgot that I'd released this pattern! It's part 2 of my Fall(ing) in Love with Colors Collection, and it is a cozy, colorful shawl that is just perfect for fall (or even winter!) days. This project would be great for a beginner knitter, and is a wonderful opportunity to work on new skills, or for a more advanced knitter to have a project for movie watching, or chatting with friends.

Fall(ing) in Love with Color Collection, Piece 2 
Fall is in the air and you need the perfect set to swing in to get your Pumpkin Spice Latte. Autumn’s Favorite Shawl is the perfect wardrobe piece to carry you from the late days of summer to the early signs of winter. Using a color palette of fall colors from The Fiber Seed, this collection is a wonderful opportunity to play with the colors of Fall and work on your knitting skills. This shawl plays with large blocks of color worked in Garter Stitch in between large bands of Stockinette Stitch. It is a top-down, triangular shawl, with big colorful stripes, the perfect piece for beginning knitters, while maintaining just a bit of interest for those looking for a perfect movie watching knit. Increase your knitting skills and complete a full fall wardrobe.


Finished Dimensions 
Wingspan, 92” (233.5 cm) after washing and blocking, depth, 40” (101.5 cm) after washing and blocking. 
Gauge 
17 sts/31 rows = 4”/10.0 cm in Stockinette Stitch, after washing and blocking. 
17 sts/44 rows= 4”/10.0 cm in Garter st after washing and blocking. 

Needles 
US 7 (4.5 mm) 32”/ 81.5 cm cir , or size needed to obtain gauge.
Supplies 
Tapestry needle, measuring tape, scissors, 4 stitch markers, one removable stitch marker, optional: row counter.
Yarn 
The Fiber Seed Sprout DK, 90% Superwash Merino Wool, 10% Nylon, 225 yards /206 m, 105 g/3.70 ounces 
MC: Merlot 2 skeins 
CC- Bluebird 2 skeins 
1 skein each in the following Colors: 
C1- Pumpkin Spice 
C2- Goldenrod 
C3- Olivine 
C4- Deep Purple
